I'm a huge believer in lifelong learning (having just begun to get the Third Degree). I've never stopped learning something new every year since I started school, and can't imagine ever stopping.
One of my friends, who lives in Nepal, does his own blog which has many interesting items on news and culture which he can't write in the newspaper he works on. (That's the good side; the bad side is that he never has time to actually write me an email any more!)
I think a blog would be a great way of communicating new happenings and things they may not be aware of to our clients. But it's so important to make it relevant and to keep up your enthusiasm for making interesting posts.
